I am privileged to both lead the Enlighten Learning Trust (ELT) and work with other school leaders as we seek to improve the education and lives of all the pupils in our communities. We are growing to include new schools as they seek to become part of a stronger family that supports and challenges each other in the pursuit of sustained school improvement. Most of our schools have a Church of England heritage, and the thread of values that this brings weaves through our schools.
The board of trustees at ELT are wholly focussed on ensuring that every day the experience of the pupils in our schools is as rich and engaging as possible. We take inclusion seriously and are constantly improving the breadth of our schools and ensuring that every one of them can have a life changing education in our care. Through this we know that the education in its broadest sense will be life changing for our pupils, equipping them to succeed.
Education is changing quickly and trusts need to be adaptable and ready to shape the system as they adapt to new structures. To this end, we at the ELT have a forward-thinking group of leaders who are well-connected, experienced and grounded in educational developments. We bring all this to bear throughout our work, which in turn enables the schools to make the most of their resources and thereby transform every child’s learning.
I am well aware that schools stand or fall by the quality of their staff, and we see their growth and development as being crucial to the success of our pupils. We know that happy, energised and knowledgeable staff are the key to pupils’ success, so we prioritise staff development and wellbeing.
If you are interested in joining our growing family then please get in touch. It would be wonderful for you to join us and be part of the onward journey together.
