The Enlighten Learning Trust is a Church of England Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Surrey with an inclusive ethos welcoming both community and church schools. We believe that education can bring about systemic social change within contemporary society. We aim to realise that potential by building and supporting a network of schools that not only provide excellent education, but redress the inequalities of access and opportunity that exist, that inspire and foster aspiration, and that nurture the enjoyment of learning, creative expression, and practical application.

Currently, the trust is composed of four schools, one primary, one secondary, one infant and one junior school with a total of 1500 pupils and 200 staff and an annual budget of £8.7m; both schools were graded 'Good' by Ofsted.  ELT has an ambitious Growth Plan, supported by both the Diocese and Regional Schools Commissioner, and will seek to grow to around ten schools by 2025.

We are currently looking to recruit trustees to support us with our aims.  In the light of the Trust’s growth plan and recent and forthcoming director retirements, Trustees have carried out a skills audit and are seeking to make up to 3 new appointments.  We would welcome applications from those with strong educational, commercial and strategic skills including, but not limited to:

• Legal/Compliance
• Safeguarding
• HR
